Kespry Mobile App Tool Menu

The Kespry app’s left side menu of the home screen was redesigned in version 1.11. Many of the utility features in the previous version have been consolidated into a single “Tools” option. This new menu opens a utility view organized by application and drone-specific features.

To access the side menu just tap on the “Hamburger” icon (three horizontal lines) at the top left of the screen. This will open the menu, from there you will be able to access Mission Data, Import data in addition to the new “Tool’s option. The Tools section can be opened by tapping  “Tools” and it will be divided into either two or three other sections depending on the service(s) you use. All users will see the Drone and App tabs. Customers that fly the DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone will also see an RTK tab at the top of the Tools home screen.

Drone Tab

This section has all of the options associated with actions that can be performed on a drone.

  • Format – This allows for formatting or “erasing” the memory card in the drone

  • Compass – Displays the Compass bias as well as which compass is actively being used by the drone. If necessary, tapping the “Calibrate” button will guide the user through the compass calibration process

  • IMU – Similar to the Compass, this will initially show the bias of the multiple IMU in the drone. Tapping the “Calibrate” button will launch the appropriate DJI app for calibration of the IMU(s)

  • Pair – Provides a way to initiate pairing between the drone and remote controller and or GPS base station if applicable

  • Fly Zones – This option displays the DJI auth unlocked fly zones and custom unlocked zones present on the drone as well as any in the DJI cloud for the logged-in DJI user. If this screen is opened without the user being logged into their DJI account, the app will prompt the user to login to DJI
