Kespry Cloud: Measure Workspace - Calculate Area

The Calculate Area tool in the Measure Workspace can be used to measure the area of any part of your site.  To use Calculate Area follow the steps outlined below:

Open

1. Navigate to the Measure Workspace in the Kespry Cloud.

2. Select Calculate Area in the toolbox located at the bottom right of the screen.

3. Drop points by clicking in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction in the area you are interested in measuring. 

4. Double click your last point or click back on the first point to close out the polygon. 

5. The window at the  top left of your screen will show you the area in your custom units (see Kespry Cloud: Settings (hyperlink) to change your units) 

6. You have the ability to Name and give a Description to the polygon. 

7. You can also choose to convert the polygon into a Volume Polygon or visualize it in the 3D Workspace. 

8. The directional arrow on the polygon can be used to move the entire polygon to a different location on the mission. 

9. After naming and describing your polygon, click Save to be able to refer back to this area, or click Delete if the polygon does not need to be saved.
