Drainages Feature

The Drainage feature in Kespry Cloud has been designed to streamline how you manage water flow on your sites. With this advanced capability, you can now effortlessly visualize and analyze how water moves across your site, enabling you to make informed decisions and enhance operational efficiency.

With the Drainage feature, you can make data-driven decisions that enhance site management and productivity:

Optimize Water Flow Management:

By visualizing the entire drainage network, you can identify potential bottlenecks, areas of standing water, or regions where water accumulates. This knowledge enables you to implement diversion strategies effectively, preventing water-related issues before they occur.

Plan Earthworks with Confidence:

Understanding the water flow patterns in high detail allows you to plan earth-moving operations strategically. By moving dirt and reshaping the landscape with precision, you can optimize water pathways, reduce erosion risks, and improve the overall stability of your site.

Environmental Compliance and Sustainability:

Monitoring and managing water flow contributes to better environmental practices. By identifying drainage issues early on, you can take proactive steps to mitigate potential environmental impacts and ensure regulatory compliance.

To access the Drainages feature, load the site in question and choose the Layers tab in the lower right corner of the screen.  The drainages checkbox will be displayed:

When selected, you will be presented with an aerial view of water flow patterns, showcasing the natural drainage pathways on your site.

In addition to having the ability to change the opacity of these channels, the Detail slider is an intuitive control that enhances your ability to explore water flow with ease.  The slider offers a unique way to adjust the level of stream complexity displayed on the map, allowing you to customize the visualization to your specific needs.

When the Detail slider is set high, you gain a comprehensive and intricate view of the drainage network. Every tributary and smaller waterway is highlighted, providing valuable insights into water flow at a granular level. This level of detail is particularly useful for pinpointing potential risks of erosion or identifying areas where water diversion may be necessary.

Sliding the Detail slider to the low setting simplifies the visualization, emphasizing the primary water channels. This view offers a quick and accessible overview of the main drainage pathways across your site. Use this setting to gain a broad understanding of water flow patterns and identify major drainage routes.
