Kespry Cloud: Measure Workspace - Haul Roads

Kespry’s Haul Roads tool enables site managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency when designing and monitoring haul roads.

The Haul Roads Tool allows you to measure road widths, grades, and berm heights on any PPK or RTK mission, and monitor your Haul Roads thresholds mission to mission.

How to use Haul Roads:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Measure’ workspace of Kespry Cloud and select the ‘Haul Roads’ tool from the bottom-right of your screen.

  2. Draw a line  roughly down the center of a road you want to monitor by clicking along the road & double-clicking your last point to end your line. Use as many or as little points as desired. Please note when drawing a line on a road that is curved, additional points on the curve will produce more accurate readings.

3. Set the thresholds you want to monitor against for that length of road in the top-left corner of your screen. Units can be changed in the ‘Settings’ section of Kespry Cloud. Click ‘Save’ to view your Haul Road insights.

4. The line you’ve drawn is divided into sections, and Kespry Cloud alerts you if any portion of the road is out of compliance according to the thresholds you’ve set.

5. Hover over the line to view individual sections, click a section to view alerts and use the legend to understand the insights provided. If there is no elevation change to mark the edge of a road, a yellow alert may be surfaced. This indicates the tool was unable to detect anything to measure against the thresholds you've set. A Haul Road drawn on a mission can be copied over to future missions using the ‘Copy Polygon’ feature in Kespry Cloud.
