Troubleshooting When Deliverables Appear To Be Incorrect

Problem

Why is there no information in my deliverable?

Solution

For a variety of reasons, sometimes we create a blank deliverable in the Firmatek Cloud as a placeholder.  It can happen naturally when a customer uploads drone photos and requests those deliverables.  Don’t worry, when we finish our analysis and add the data and map objects to the deliverable, you will receive a notification that the deliverable is ready to view. If that has happened but you still believe information is missing from the deliverable, please send an inquiry to support@firmatek.com.  

Why does the aerial imagery in my deliverable look wrong?

Solution

Reach out to support@firmatek.com and a member of our team can walk through your data with you to answer questions and help you understand how it was processed. A few common reasons that your data may not look correct are as follows:

  1. If your deliverable was solely based on LiDAR data, the underlying base map is from stock imagery provided by map box and/or google. If you would like Firmatek to start collecting aerial imagery when we conduct your scans, please contact your sales representative or email support@firmatek.com.

  2. We collect data with both LiDAR and drone photos but the drone portion does not cover the entire site. This is normal if we were only using the drone to capture data where we could not utilize LiDAR.  In these cases, you may see old imagery.

  3. Sometimes the orthophoto we create from our drone imagery does not line up exactly with the underlying base map.  This may happen for a number of reasons and we’re happy review your concerns upon request.
